The featured guest speaker January 11 will be geologist Steve Hicks talking on four subjects so there will be something for everyone.  Steve is a White Sulphur Springs geologist that has extensive Alaska gold placer sampling experience.  He is one of the present Minerals and Mining Advisory Council administrator for Central Montana and has been able to beat the federal government in court 2 out of 3 times representing himself on mining related issues.  The subjects of Steve's talks will be:

1.  The power of Mining districts

2.  Challenging bogus Forest Service citations by representing yourself in court.

3.  Demonstrating at least three ways to pump water with solar and battery power and explaining the efficiency and reliability benefits.

4.  Tips on sampling a placer deposit and common mistakes people make.
